We have been invited to meet at Howard Wise Cars, who are having a breakfast morning (9.30 - 12.30) at their showroom. Howard Wise has some fine cars for sale, so it should be an interesting morning. Arrive at 09.30 for tour at 10.00 lasting up to 2 hours. P&A Wood generously do not charge, but ask for donations towards Essex and Herts Air Ambulance (suggested minimum donation £5). 28 March 2026 (Saturday) 09.00 Bristol Owners Heritage Trust Lecture Day - Aerospace Bristol, Hayes Way, Patchway, Bristol BS34 5BZ (info@aerospacebristol.org)
The Bristol Owners Heritage Trust is holding another lecture meeting, this time at Aerospace Bristol. VSCC Vice President Nick Topliss will describe his recreation of a 406 Zagato. Stefan Cembrowicz & Michael Crawford will describe the BOHT’s recent work and examples of Bristol ephemera will be on display. Tickets for the event are £40 to include lunch, coffee and tea, but are only available up to two weeks in advance to get numbers right for BOHT’s caterers. Please book tickets directly through ticketsource: https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/bristol-owners-heritage-trust On the previous day, 27 March, there will be drinks and dinner (19.00 for 19.30) at nearby Berwick Lodge, (BS10 7TD) a Victorian country house hotel. Dinner is priced at £60, wine and soft drinks included. Places are limited, so please pre-book ASAP directly with the hotel. Rooms for those staying are held until 20 February; the BOHT has negotiated a discount. If you wish to attend, please pre-book your dinner (with or without a room) directly with Berwick Lodge, (0117 9581590) mentioning the BOHT. On Saturday morning Aerospace security will let Bristol cars in between 09.00 and 10.00 (sharp) to line up for display by the Concorde Hangar.
26 April 2026 (Sunday) National Drive-it Day - Throughout the UK!
National Drive It Day was created by the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs in 2005. It is the occasion when historic vehicle enthusiasts and the public at large have the opportunity to celebrate the One Thousand Mile Trial organised in 1900 to prove the viability of the new invention, the motor vehicle. It is also a chance to raise awareness and support amongst the public for the historic vehicle movement and keeping transport heritage on UK roads. 26 April 2026 (Sunday) Scenic Suffolk drive with the Alvis Club - Mid-Suffolk
Scenic run with the Alvis Club is on Sunday 26 April 2026 - National Drive It Day. This will start in mid-Suffolk and head to the coast. Please let Chris Dady (east@boc.net) know if you would like to join this event. Details to follow for those who sign up.
10 May 2026 (Sunday) Bristol Owners Club AGM - Billesley Manor Hotel & Spa, Billesley, Alcester, Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, B49 6NF
The 2026 AGM will be held on Sunday 10 May 2026 at 11.00 at Billesley Manor Hotel near Stratford-upon-Avon. The Club has negotiated a favourable room rate with dinner the night before and breakfast included. There is also a package for those who do not stay the night. 14 May 2026 (Thursday) Visit to Earsham Hall - Earsham, Bungay, Suffolk, NR35 2AN
The Alvis Club has invited Bristols to join them for visit to Earsham Hall in Suffolk on Thursday 14 May 2026. Members can also participate in a leisurely scenic run to the Hall from the Angel Inn, 39 High Street, Wangford, NR34 8RL to arrive at Earsham around midday for a soup lunch & house tour (about 14.15). There will be tea/coffee afterwards. Bristols can join the Alvises at the Angel for tea and coffee around 09:30-10.00 am prior to the run or just at the Hall. May June 2026 - European Tour - France and Italy (via Germany and Switzerland)
Following the tour of Slovenia this year, Chris Shaw has planned a tour with rather more emphasis on driving. The route will be to France and Italy (via Germany and Switzerland) from 19th May-6th June 2026. There will be the chance to visit three major motor museums, drive over two gorgeous mountain passes and visit wine regions. Whilst distances are greater most stays are for two nights to allow time for recovery and sightseeing. There are 13 places, we invite expressions of interest. A tour itinerary is available. 27 June 2026 (Saturday) 09.00 Kent Classic and Sportscar Group - The Moat, Wrotham, Kent ,TN15 7RJ
The Kent Classic and Sportscar Group will be featuring Bristols alongside vintage cars at their Breakfast event starting at 09.00 until 11.30. As in previous years, it will take place at The Moat, Wrotham, Kent ,TN15 7RJ, just off Junction 2 of the M20 and within easy reach of London. The pub serves coffee and excellent bacon rolls. The Group meets fortnightly at this venue on Saturday mornings, each one highlighting a particular marque or genre of car. It is very popular especially in the summer, often with quite exotic machinery on display. Bristol owners should be in good company. Ian Johncock will organise a run for members after the event, via a scenic route through Kent to the Cinque Port of Sandwich where we will enjoy a suitable pub lunch. 23 August 2026 (Sunday) BOC Bristol Day and Concours - The Royal Automobile Club, Woodcote Park, Wilmerhatch Lane, Epsom, Surrey, KT18 7EW
The 2026 Concours will take place in the grounds of the RAC Club in Epsom, Surrey. There will be a dinner the night before at the Club. A number of rooms at the Club have been reserved for the night of 22 August on a first come first served basis. Please contact James Lawrie (events@boc.net) for details.
5 September 2026 (Saturday) Salon Privé Supercar & Club Day - Blenheim Palace, Woodstock, Oxfordshire OX20 1UL
The BOC and BODA have been asked to mark the 80th anniversary of Bristol Cars by organising a joint club stand at Salon Privé to be held at Blenheim Palace on Saturday 5 September 2026. The Clubs hope to attract 50+ cars representing the marque’s illustrious history. Each club will award a cup to its ‘best’ club car, which will then compete with the best of other marques for the Lockton Cup. The BOHT may also provide some ephemera and photographic displays for the stand. Entry is £60 per head. Salon Privé is also hoping to attract 6-8 ‘super concours standard’ 6-cylinder cars and 6-8 similar V8s to enter the Salon Privé concours itself on Wednesday and Thursday 2-3 September 2026. Entry for those lucky few is £3,850 per car.
